Utah Summer

To say that I was sad to leave Utah would be the understatement of the year. I honestly tried to convince Lyle to push our flight back a day or two but I guess one of has to be responsible so my plan did not work out. One week is just not long enough to see friends and family, eat all your favorite foods and adventure as much as we wanted to. It was hardly relaxing but it was so much fun. My favorite part of the day was waking up and eating our breakfast out on the back porch with the hummingbirds all around. If you have seen Lyle’s parents backyard you get it. Lyle was like wait “Do you like this backyard? I don’t think you’ve told me that yet…” because I would tell him about 100 times a day. We relaxed in the hammock, went on hikes and remembered how amazing Utah is in the Summer. We flew out mainly because Lyle’s brother Kade got married! It was an absolutely beautiful wedding and reception and we felt so lucky to be apart of their special day. I honestly can’t wait for them to get pictures back because everything was perfect. Can I tell you how much I love Lyle’s family? Not even just his immediate family, but his extended family is AMAZING. I kid you not, they are the nicest people on the planet. When I initially married Lyle it was hard adjusting to a new family because I am so close to mine but you literally can not fall in love with them. Family is everything and I am so blessed with them.

On to food, we ate Rumbi, Betos (3 times! whoops), Zupas, Ruby River, Ruby Snap, Banbury to name a few. I dragged poor Lyle on the Y hike 4 times and by the end we were getting up it in 23 minutes. If you live in UT, don’t get a gym membership, just do that hike and some weights and you are good, I promise. I took Lyle to Mona rope swing too. Can you please he is from Utah and has never gone?! It is one of my favorite places. We still didn’t get to conquer Mt. Timp which has been on my UT list for years now or camping or Canyonlands but we will be back. I love UT so so much. Here are some pictures.

Lyle’s cousins are hilarious! They always talk about my posing in pictures hahaha so we all did it. Lyle’s cousins are some of my favorites too but don’t tell anyone.
