Okay, I’m not gonna lie to you, I have had all my decorations up for Fall for a couple weeks now. One day Lyle came home and I had cut out all these little bats and he’s all like “it’s not even October yet…” We haven’t gotten to really celebrate or do any decorating the past two Falls because we’ve been out of the country so I am way excited to be able to put up decorations this year. I’m trying to find the perfect balance, not too kitschy and Halloweeny so I can keep most of my stuff up through Thanksgiving. But I do love me some Halloween so I didn’t go entirely chic. However, I never realized how much some of these decorations can be, it’s kind of crazy considering they are only out a couple months a year. I’ve decided to get a couple things each year so I can have a nice collection someday or just wait until the things I want go on sale and scoop them up for next year! Below I listed a bunch of cute decorations if you’re in the market and some cheap ideas and little touches to make your place feel a little more homey this year if you don’t feel like dropping loads of money on decor.

Fall Decor:

Here’s some things I love for Fall with many different price points. One of the most affordable decorations that I love are just getting the little pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. We got 5 for $5. I got them in all different colors for different spots. Set a couple in a bowl or dish or glass jar or literally anywhere for a touch of Fall. Bathrooms, book shelves, kitchen, you name it. A lot of the things I used I just found lying around my house too. I used a scarf I bought to wear as sort of a mat under the pinecones for some added color and texture and no one knows its a scarf (except for all of you now) but you could probably do it with a shirt, a towel or scraps of fabric you happen to have that have a Fall feel to them to put under any of your decorations instead of buying a table cloth or feeling like you lack color. Another way to save money and decorate is to use the elements around you. The pinecones I got from Gordmans and I honestly would have gone and found some outside if they weren’t so darn cheap already. You can go and get some spray paint and do them white, gold or even leave them the way they are to add a rustic element. One of our neighbors trees has already started to change color and lose leaves and I have been gathering them for some sort of project. I’m not sure if I want to make a garland or just set them around the shelf but the possibilities with those are endless. Each room doesn’t need to be crazy, the most important thing is the details. You can add some orange ribbon or fabric ties to jars or candles or even throw pillows. You can also find tons of FREE printables everywhere online (check pinterest) and put them temporarily in a frame you already have.

These are three things I’m hoping go on sale soon. I love trays! I think they are so perfect for adding color and creating some organization which is a must for us over here. p.s.- sign up for their emails for 10% off!

Who doesn’t love Target? The white and gold pumpkins I got flew off the shelves last Fall and I didn’t get them but they are back! They will probably go fast again, just fyi. Also, I love love this wreath! I wouldn’t even put it on the door (although you could) but I think it would look perfect leaning on a mantle or as the centerpiece above a Fall display.

As soon as I saw these dish towels I fell in love. Then I saw the price and remembered Anthro’s expensive shipping and was like sikeee. But they are honestly the cutest little towels I’ve ever seen. I also can’t vouch for that scent yet but I absolutely love candles and gold is a perfect color for all the Holidays and happens to be a color we have throughout our home.

If you don’t even want to or care to decorate you can just create a cozy living space with pillows and blankets to curl up in, candles to burn and hot chocolate to drink because coziness is Fall. I picture cozy sweaters and blankets and fluffy pillows and Halloween movies. Our living room colors right now are gold, red and cream/white and I happen to love faux fur so our living room already looks decorated. Btw, you can find faux fur blankets in pretty much every price point. I just love how soft all the blankets are at Z Gallerie but if you google them you will find them (and in different colors too).

Ok I could honestly do this forever but I’m gonna end with these finds. I love this little filler set with the pine cones and pumpkins. They are so perfect for any centerpiece or any bathroom or to split up and use in many places. I didn’t continue with Kirklands but they have the cutest stuff if you still want to keep looking. Other places I love are Rodworks, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Etsy, Bath and Body Works, GrandinRoad for more Halloween indoor and outdoor decor and you can even get good finds at the Dollar Store sometimes! For all you Utah people you should check out Rodworks, it isn’t online for everyone else but I decorated a lot of our house with cute things from there. I love that place! I hope you either found something you liked or were inspired in some way to bring some festive fun into your homes. I plan on doing a couple posts a week so if you want to keep updated sign up for emails! I’m thinking a New York guide, Favorite products lately post and a Fall Bootie post. Let me know if theres anything you want to see! Thanks for stopping by!
